It achieves power transmission by utilizing the wave generator to induce elastic deformation in the flexible gear. Characterized by high transmission precision, a large single-stage reduction ratio, and a compact size, it is widely applied in fields such as industrial robotics, collaborative robotics, humanoid robotics, aerospace, and machine tools.

Domestically produced harmonic reducers encompass a diverse range of models, including cup-type, hat-type, and flat-type configurations.
