Introduction to Parallel-Shaft Helical Gear Reducers

Mar 08, 2026

The parallel-shaft helical gearbox-also known as the F-series reducer-is one of the four major series of hard-toothed gear reducers (R, F, S, and K). The product line encompasses 11 distinct sizes, ranging from size 27 to 157, with a torque range of 130 to 18,000 N·m. It is widely applied across industrial sectors such as mining, construction, and light industry. Its explosion-proof models comply with ATEX standards, making them suitable for use in potentially explosive environments; this extends their application scope to fields including material handling, chain conveyors, and various process applications.

This equipment features a modular unit design; by optimizing the variety of components, it significantly reduces inventory requirements and shortens delivery lead times. Its compact design also contributes to saving installation space. The unit is equipped with a high-rigidity, ribbed cast iron housing and gears made of carburized and quenched alloy steel, featuring precision-ground tooth surfaces. It supports various mounting options-including foot mounting, flange mounting (B5/B14), or shaft mounting-and is available in both solid shaft and hollow shaft configurations. The modular combination system allows for integration with either AC motors or servo motors. Boasting a single-stage transmission efficiency of ≥98%, the product is characterized by low noise levels, minimal temperature rise, a long service life, and a compact structural profile. The product holds both ISO9001 and CE certifications.
